Why Join?
We need supporters to add strength to our voice. If we are to keep (and expand) the number of horse riding opportunities in the Auckland Region, we need to be more organised about riding advocacy.
The reason that many other sports have better access to parks, tracks and a higher profile with Councils or other authorities is simply because they have great advocacy groups and can show how many participants they have.
Riders need to be kept informed about recreation access issues all over the region, but local papers only provide local information. Having eyes all over the region lets us share information and organise quickly to lobby for better access, or fight off closures and restrictions.
When you join you will receive emails from time-to-time to keep up to date with developments, and you will be able to alert other members to areas that need attention.
Sign Up Now, Support Bridleways Submissions
By signing up, we can then represent you when attending Council meetings or providing submissions on bridleways and recreation areas, (or you can represent the entire group, if you wish!) when making a submission. Every member on our maling list is a vote of support for our submissions.

Contributing to the website
Descriptions and photos of areas or facilities you use for riding are always welcome. Bridleways can only succeed as a co-operative effort.
All members can create pages on the Bridleways Auckland group site.
Create a Picasa Web Album (or use your favourite photo album online). I recommend Picasa because - it is free, there is a mapping option with it, and there is a lot of photo storage available.
